On June 8, 2016, Tavares Robinson, 40, was tragically killed in a double homicide in southeast Atlanta. The crime occurred at a residence on Lewis Street SE, where Robinson and another victim, Dante Sutton, were found shot to death. Investigators believe the motive behind the killings was robbery, and surveillance footage from the area captured a woman of interest walking near the scene 30 minutes before the murders.
