In the early morning hours of January 17, 2023, the quiet of a Biloxi, Mississippi neighborhood was shattered by a domestic-related shooting that claimed the life of 46-year-old Patrick Damian Foster Sr. A White male, Foster was a lifelong resident of Biloxi and a 1994 graduate of D'Iberville High School. He was known as a hardworking man, employed as an industrial sandblaster and painter, and also owned his own business, Pat's Scrap. Those who knew him remembered his generosity, saying he would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.

Biloxi Police responded to a call at approximately 3:57 a.m. in the 4100 block of Victoria Lane, where they discovered Foster deceased at his home from multiple gunshot wounds. The initial investigation pointed towards a murder and attempted suicide. At the scene, officers found a second man, an acquaintance whom Foster occasionally allowed to stay at his property, critically injured with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The injured man was transported to Merit Health in Biloxi for medical treatment. However, he later succumbed to his injuries, leading authorities to classify the tragic event as a murder-suicide. The identity of the suspect was not released to the public. The Biloxi Police Department continued to investigate the circumstances that led to the fatal dispute between the two acquaintances.
