On November 19, 2016, 34-year-old Jaron Ramsby was tragically killed during a shooting near the Five Points MARTA station in downtown Atlanta. Ramsby, a bystander, was caught in the crossfire when a dispute escalated into gunfire between two individuals. He was shot in the chest and succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Another bystander was also struck in the leg but survived.
