On July 11, 2023, 27-year-old Jasmine Johnson was found deceased from a single gunshot wound at her residence on North Windridge Lane, near Old Highway 11, just outside of Purvis, Mississippi. Lamar County Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene shortly after 11:00 p.m., following a 911 call reporting the shooting.
