On October 4, 2024, at approximately 11:59 p.m., Byram Police Department officers responded to multiple reports of gunfire at The Reserve of Byram Apartments on Byram Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered 26-year-old Gary Lennard Henderson, a resident of Jackson, Mississippi, unresponsive inside his apartment, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Henderson was pronounced dead at the scene.
