On June 20, 1995, the body of Harvel Dean Golden, age 54, was found in a wooded area in Leesburg, Florida. His body was discovered by juveniles riding their bicycles, who noticed him lying on a mattress. Golden, who had been living as a transient in the area for about a year, was found with dried blood around his head, and it was determined that he had been beaten to death.
