On a Friday night in August 2023, under the bright lights of a high school football stadium in Choctaw, Oklahoma, the life of 16-year-old Cordae Carter, a male student from Midwest City, was tragically cut short. The game between Choctaw and Del City high schools was in its third quarter when an argument escalated into gunfire, sending players and spectators scrambling for safety in a scene of chaos and panic.
