On September 28, 2023, a tragic incident occurred near Granger, Washington, resulting in the death of 19-year-old Anthony Govanny Mendoza-Salazar. The Yakima County Sheriff's Office initially received reports of a rollover accident in the area of Indian Church Road and SR 223.
