On a tragic autumn morning, the life of 21-year-old Hispanic female Alyssia Precious Avalos was cut short in an act of violence. On October 19, 2023, in a house in Toppenish, Washington, Avalos, along with two other young people, was fatally shot. The incident, which unfolded around 5:00 a.m. on Pearne Street, also left a 21-year-old man in critical condition. The other victims who lost their lives were 13-year-old Isaac Corpuz and 18-year-old Altagracia Mancillas-Hernandez.
