In the quiet city of Mount Vernon, Washington, a tragedy unfolded on October 25, 2024, ending the life of a dedicated mental health counselor. Dvorrah Carrasco, a 61-year-old White/Caucasian female, was found deceased in her office located in the 400 block of South 1st Street. The Skagit County Coroner's Office would later confirm that she died from multiple gunshot wounds, and her death was officially ruled a homicide.
