On February 22, 2023, at approximately midnight, Dayton police responded to a reported shooting in the 1900 block of Shaftesbury Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered 35-year-old Lafeon Quintez Hamilton with a gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
