On May 1, 2023, 27-year-old Cynquan Darnell Leggett was found deceased in his vehicle in a vacant lot on Park Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio. He had suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Leggett had been reported missing four days prior to the discovery of his body.
Following the incident, authorities identified 28-year-old Manija Downey as a suspect in Leggett's murder. Downey was apprehended on November 27, 2023, in the 2500 block of Hamilton Avenue.
Born on December 1, 1995, Leggett's passing was publicly announced by Gaines Funeral Home in Cleveland. Services were held on May 11 and 12, 2023, at Gaines Funeral Home and New Freedom Ministries, respectively.
The investigation into Leggett's death remains ongoing. Authorities continue to seek information from the public to aid in the case.
