Jerome Chavez, a 22-year-old resident of Chimayo, New Mexico, tragically lost his life on the evening of May 28, 2023, in a fatal shooting at his home. The Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office responded to a call about shots fired around 9:36 p.m. in the area of Canada Ancha and El Potrero Road.
