In the small town of Oak Grove, Louisiana, the morning of Monday, April 24, 2023, was shattered by a call for assistance to the West Carroll Parish Sheriff's Office. The call led deputies to a residence on Bran Road, the home of 61-year-old William Dewayne Copeland, a male resident of the community. Copeland was found deceased, having been fatally shot.
