In the quiet community of Bayou L'Ourse, a visit between acquaintances took a fatal turn on a Sunday afternoon. Atanacio Guerrero, a 40-year-old male, had gone to a residence on Elaine Street accompanied by a mutual friend to meet with Joseph Gilchrist Sr. The gathering, however, was tragically cut short inside the home.
