In Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a domestic dispute escalated to a fatal conclusion, claiming the life of Michael Orville Williams, a 44-year-old African American male. The tragic event unfolded on November 10, 2023, at a residence located in the 1900 block of West Belfair Drive. During the course of an altercation, Williams was shot. Emergency responders were called to the scene, but his injury proved to be too severe, and he was pronounced dead.
The Baton Rouge Police Department quickly
launched an investigation into the shooting. Their efforts led to the identification of a suspect, 20-year-old Terrynikqua Jones, an African American female. Investigators determined that Jones was involved in the domestic dispute that led to the fatal shooting. Following their investigation, the police arrested Jones and charged her with second-degree murder in connection with the death of Michael Orville Williams.
Michael Orville Williams, known to his friends and family as 'Money Mike,' was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on November 19, 1978, and later made his home in Baton Rouge. His life was abruptly cut short just days before his 45th birthday. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Williams, his parents, Charles D. Williams Jr. and Betty Nelson, and his stepfather, Nazaree Nelson. He also leaves behind two sisters, Kenya Williams and Annette Carroll, and a brother, Michael Carroll, to mourn his loss.
