Chakerus Hamilton Jr., a 20-year-old from the Prairieville area in Ascension Parish, Louisiana, was found dead in his vehicle on March 29, 2024. The incident occurred early in the morning, around 3:30 a.m., along Interstate 10 eastbound. State Police discovered Hamilton's body and notified the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office. He had suffered fatal gunshot wounds.
