In the heart of a cold January, the life of 15-year-old Dovia Pernell was tragically cut short on a Monday morning in Louisville, Kentucky. On January 29, 2024, the young female was found shot and killed in the Algonquin neighborhood. Police responded to a call around 10:45 a.m. and discovered her outside an apartment building on Patton Court, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the back of the head.
