The investigation into David Martinez's death took a dramatic turn when suspicion fell upon a 17-year-old friend who had been living with Martinez and his mother, Melissa Flores. Known only by his nickname 'Stack,' the young man from Guatemala had been like a brother to David. However, their relationship reportedly changed after David announced his plans to move out with his girlfriend to start their new family. After the shooting, 'Stack' admitted to being the last person to see David alive and hearing the gunshots, but claimed he didn't go back for him due to an outstanding warrant.
