In the early hours of September 16, 2016, a quiet street in Pleasure Ridge Park, Louisville, became the scene of a brutal crime that would leave a family shattered and a community searching for answers. Inside a home on Gerald Avenue, 20-year-old Thomas A. Holmes and his father, 51-year-old Thomas E. Holmes, were shot and killed. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office later confirmed that both men died from multiple gunshot wounds.
