Murdered

Christopher Hoffman, a 41-year-old resident of Powell Butte, Oregon, was fatally shot on May 7, 2023. The incident was reported when Deschutes County 911 dispatchers received a call from a relative of the victim. The caller had been contacted by a man later identified as Russell Votruba, who claimed to have killed a man at Hoffman's residence on SW Red Cloud Road in Powell Butte.
