Carl Michael Horning, a 47-year-old Caucasian male, died on Tuesday morning, January 2, 2024, at Horning's Hideout in North Plains, Oregon. A firefighter and lieutenant with Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue, he was found with multiple gunshot wounds following reports of a shooting at the family-owned property, a popular venue for weddings, disc golf, and other outdoor activities. He was declared dead at the scene.
