In the early hours of February 20, 2023, a violent encounter in a Woburn, Massachusetts home cut short the life of 22-year-old Mussie Nirayo, a Black male from Cambridge. Responding to a disturbance call on Washington Street at approximately 3:40 a.m., police discovered two men with gunshot wounds. Nirayo was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other man, 26-year-old Tyler Olivier of Woburn, was transported to a local hospital for his injuries.
