On August 14, 2023, a tragic incident occurred at a residence on 174 Berkshire Ave. in Springfield, Massachusetts, resulting in the death of 10-year-old Aubrianna Lynn "Aubrie" Serra. The violence was perpetrated by Victor Nieves, the family's upstairs neighbor, who forced his way into the Serra family home and opened fire on the unsuspecting family.
