Daniel Jovon Shelby, a 41-year-old resident of Ellsworth, Illinois, died on January 10, 2024, due to multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene in Ellsworth.

The incident is currently under investigation by several agencies, including the McLean County Coroner’s Office, the McLean County Sheriff’s Department, and the Illinois State Police. Toxicology tests are pending as part of the ongoing investigation.
