On January 13, 2024, 19-year-old Cynise E. White was fatally shot in Ocilla, Georgia, around 9 a.m. The Ben Hill County Sheriff's Office reported that the motive for the homicide was unknown at the time. White's family indicated that she had been in a relationship with the suspect, suggesting a possible domestic violence incident.
