On May 10, 2024, 14-year-old Michael J'Mai Palmer, also known as Jmai, was found dead at his home in Pembroke, Georgia. The Pembroke Police Department responded to a 911 call about an unresponsive minor at an apartment in Miller Homes located off Dubois Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered that Michael had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene.
