Tyrese Robert Cooper, a 24-year-old man, was fatally shot in the early hours of February 13, 2023, in Orlando, Florida. The incident occurred near the intersection of South Kirkman Road and West Colonial Drive, outside a shopping plaza in Orange County.
According to reports, Cooper was shot and then left the area. He was taken to the hospital by someone else, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office (OCSO) was investigating the shooting, which was described as being in its early stages at the time of the initial reports. The OCSO identified Cooper as the victim but did not immediately release details on what might have led to the shooting or if any suspects were being sought.
However, subsequent updates revealed that a suspect was identified and charged in connection with Cooper's death. Twenty-seven-year-old Jordan Jackson faces the charge of first-degree murder with a firearm for Cooper's killing.
