On February 14, 2023, Troy Nichols Jr., a 28-year-old from Palm Beach Gardens, FL, was fatally shot in Riviera Beach. The incident occurred after an argument that began when Nichols attempted to buy a drink for the girlfriend of Lawrence Antonio Mitchell, a 43-year-old man.
