On November 6, 2023, a fatal shooting occurred at a gas station in the 6000 block of Orange Blossom Trail, which is less than a mile south of the Mount Dora city limits in Orange County, Florida. The incident happened around 7:45 p.m. when gunfire erupted, resulting in the death of a 31-year-old man identified as Terrance Jamal Mars.
