Janice Herbert, a 53-year-old woman, was fatally shot on March 15, 2024, at her home in Tamarac, Florida. The incident occurred in the 4500 block of Northwest 45th Court, where authorities responded to a call about a shooting shortly before midnight.

The investigation by the Broward Sheriff's Office (BSO) Homicide Unit revealed that Janice's husband, Rolland Powell, 76, was responsible for her death. Powell attempted to cover up the homicide by staging a burglary and provided inconsiste ...
