On the morning of June 18, 2024, around 2:00 a.m., law enforcement in Orlando, Florida responded to reports of a shooting at the intersection of Pershing Avenue and Goldenrod Road. When deputies arrived, they discovered two victims: a 19-year-old male of Hispanic ethnicity, Angel Issak Martinez, and a female in her 20s also wounded by gunfire. The male victim, described as a 19-year-old Hispanic male, was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter. The woman in her 20s was likewise taken to the hospital, suffering injuries characterized as non-life-threatening.
Angel Issak Martinez, the 19-year-old Hispanic male, became the sole fatality in the incident. Deputies confirmed his identity during the investigation, and the shooting remains under active review. The female victim in her 20s survived and was reported to be recovering.
In the following weeks, investigators released surveillance evidence showing a car—believed to be a silver BMW 3 Series —driving near the Pershing Avenue and Redditt Road area around the time of the shooting. In the footage, a passenger is observed leaning out of a car window and discharging a firearm, which deputies say likely caused the fatal injury to Angel Issak Martinez, the 19-year-old Hispanic male. Authorities appealed to the public to identify the vehicle or any suspects, offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for tips leading to an arrest.
Months later, on September 7, 2024, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of two male suspects, each age 22 at the time of arrest, in direct connection with the double shooting. The suspects are Amarion Hammons and Jabez Actie. Both men were taken into custody on arrest warrants and booked without bond.
The charges brought against them include:
* First-degree murder with a firearm ;
* Attempted first-degree murder with a firearm ;
* Shooting into an occupied vehicle;
* Trafficking in fentanyl.
Both suspects appeared before a judge shortly after their arrest and remained in custody with no bond.
