On Saturday, November 16, 2024, 9-year-old Antavious Scott, known affectionately as "Tay Tay," was fatally shot in Florida City, Florida. The incident occurred outside an apartment complex near West Lucy Street and Northwest Eighth Avenue, where Antavious was playing football with his friends. During an exchange of gunfire, Antavious was struck by what police believe was a stray bullet.
