On December 1, 2023, Thomas J. Platt, a 45-year-old resident of Parkersburg, West Virginia, was found dead along with Christy L. Roseberry, 43, of Vienna, West Virginia. The bodies were discovered in the 1000 block of 38th Street in Vienna around 4:40 p.m. by a family member. Both victims died from apparent gunshot wounds.
