On February 15, 2023, the body of a 42-year-old Hispanic male, Anthony Bracamonte of Ogden, was discovered by a passing motorist on the side of Interstate 80, about two miles from the Grantsville turnoff in Tooele County, Utah. An investigation by the Utah State Bureau of Investigation revealed that Bracamonte had been shot multiple times, with twelve spent 9mm shell casings found at the scene.
