Maurice Jr. Amos, age 20, was shot and killed on August 22, 2017, in Jacksonville, Florida. The incident occurred on Fernandina Avenue after Maurice stepped outside his home to take a phone call. Witnesses reported that he briefly interacted with an occupant of an unknown vehicle before being shot multiple times. The assailant fled the scene, and no clear description of the shooter or vehicle has been provided by law enforcement.
