On December 12, 2017, Ariyan Johnson, a 19-year-old from Jacksonville, Florida, was tragically killed alongside her fiancé Qua’Sean Trotter, 20, and their 11-month-old daughter, Arielle Trotter. The incident took place at a friend's home on India Avenue in the Arlington area, where the family had been staying. Authorities arrived at the scene to find the house on fire, with Ariyan and Qua’Sean both shot and their Christmas tree in flames.
Sadly, baby Arielle died from smoke inhalation as a result of the fire.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office classified the case as a triple homicide and has been investigating it for several years. Foul play is strongly suspected, although the police have not publicly disclosed a clear motive or identified suspects.
