On June 29, 2019, a fatal shooting occurred on Interstate 19 near Green Valley, Arizona, resulting in the death of 25-year-old Marilynn Patricia Pacheco of Tucson. The incident involved a gun battle between two vehicles traveling northbound on I-19, near the Esperanza Boulevard area.
