On a Tuesday evening in Phoenix, Arizona, the life of 16-year-old Sean Chinn was tragically cut short in a senseless act of violence. The teenagers were enjoying a moment together after a day of work when a vehicle approached.
In an instant, the normalcy of the evening was shattered by
gunfire. A person in the passing car opened fire on the group of friends, striking all three. The vehicle then sped away, leaving chaos and devastation in its wake. Emergency services rushed to the scene, and the three wounded teenagers were transported to a local hospital. While his two friends would ultimately survive their injuries, Sean Chinn succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced dead.
The investigation into the drive-by shooting led Phoenix police to identify two suspects. The first, 31-year-old Emeterio Trujillo, was arrested and charged with murder and drive-by shooting.
