Twenty-six-year-old Noah Ezariah Arroyo Jr., a Hispanic male, was one of the victims who lost his life that day. The incident unfolded at a party in the vicinity of Papago Street and Euclid Avenue, where violence suddenly erupted.
Responding to a call around 1:36 p.m., deputies from the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office arrived at the scene to find a grim discovery. Noah Arroyo Jr. and 25-year-old Emmanuel Boyd Arroyo were both deceased, having sustained fatal gunshot wounds. The individuals responsible for the shooting had already fled, prompting an immediate investigation by the Sheriff's Office to piece together the events that led to the double homicide.
Weeks later, the investigation saw a significant development when two suspects voluntarily surrendered to authorities on October 21, 2022. The individuals were identified as 19-year-old Kurtis Childs and 16-year-old Aiden Manuel. Following their surrender, both were arrested and faced charges related to the deaths of the two men. Aiden Manuel was booked on two counts of second-degree murder, two counts of aggravated assault, and one count of discharging a firearm within city limits.
