On December 15, 2014, a tragic incident occurred at a meat packing plant in Gibbon, Nebraska, resulting in the death of 34-year-old Karel Perez-Almaguer from Grand Island. The shooting took place in the parking lot of Gibbon Pack just before 5:00 PM. Perez-Almaguer was pronounced dead at the scene, having been targeted by his assailant.
