Do you know who murdered Kenneth Grimsley? In the winter of 2004, a young man's life was cut short in Washington, D.C. On the afternoon of Tuesday, January 13, police responded to a report of a shooting in the 1100 block of Bladensburg Road, NE. Inside a vehicle, they found 18-year-old Kenneth Nicholas Grimsley, Jr., a Black male, suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, his injuries proved fatal.
The Metropolitan Police Department's Violent Crimes Branch launched an investigation into the
homicide. In the years that followed, the case remained open, with law enforcement seeking assistance from the public to bring those responsible to justice. A reward of up to $25,000 was offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons involved in his death.
As of now, there have been no publicly announced arrests, and no suspects have been officially named in the killing of Kenneth Grimsley.
