On June 5, 2024, in Milford, Delaware, 3-year-old Aloni Kieu Truong and her mother, 31-year-old Mercedes Ortiz, were found deceased in their home on Pebblebrook Drive in the Brookstone Trace development. The discovery occurred after police responded to a report of a 31-year-old man, later identified as Aloni's father, Davis Truong, found bleeding from a head wound on South DuPont Boulevard.
