On August 15, 1997, 18-year-old Paul Landre was fatally shot at the Colony Motel in Kennebunkport, Maine. Both Landre and the alleged shooter, 24-year-old Joseph Glasco, were seasonal employees at the hotel, residing in the staff dormitory provided by the establishment. The incident occurred following an argument between the two men.
