On May 27, 2002, in Palermo, Maine, 40-year-old Daniel Walsh was fatally shot by his neighbor, Donald "Larry" Mooney, during a domestic dispute. Initially, Mooney was charged with manslaughter; however, a grand jury later indicted him on charges of terrorizing and criminal threatening.
