In the winter of 2003, the community of Sanford, Maine, was struck by the tragic death of 18-year-old Scott Vermette. On January 15th, the young man was found deceased inside his apartment, having been fatally shot with a shotgun. His life, full of potential and marked by a love for the outdoors and sports, was abruptly cut short.
