On September 30, 2017, Michael Burns, a 53-year-old resident of Rochester, New Hampshire, was fatally shot on the front porch of a duplex at 26 Nye Street in Saco, Maine. The incident occurred around 1:21 a.m. The shooter, a tenant of the duplex, reported the incident to authorities and was not taken into custody at that time.
