On a summer afternoon in southeastern Montana, the life of a dedicated law enforcement officer was tragically cut short. Deputy Sheriff Janet Louise Rogers, a 39-year-old White/Caucasian woman, was on duty on June 14, 1990, when a call came in regarding a bank robbery. A pursuit of the suspect ensued near the town of Hardin, a chase that would end in a violent confrontation.
