On July 20, 2015, 35-year-old Wesley Brian Sindelar was shot and killed by his father, James Douglas Sindelar, at his home in Ballantine, Montana. James Sindelar, who lived in a tent on his son's property, claimed he went to Wesley's home after hearing him being loud and suspected he was drinking. He admitted to pulling out a handgun and shooting Wesley in the head during a struggle over the weapon.
