On August 15, 2016, in Butte, Montana, 41-year-old Keith Peck contacted 911 to report that he had shot his wife, 36-year-old Amanda Peck. Upon arrival, officers discovered both individuals deceased. Coroner Lee LaBreche determined that Amanda Peck died from a gunshot wound to the torso, while Keith Peck succumbed to a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Authorities noted that a high-powered rifle was used in the incident.
